How do you best describe your life?

9/8/2010 3:54 pm
If you had to define your life within the restraints of a title...what title best fits? It could be a movie, a song, a book....but the title...not necessarily the story.

Not a movie, not a song and not a book...
Ian Gardner says

My Body, My Soul and I.
My body is mine, but my body is not me,
My body is an expression of my soul.
My soul is mine, but my soul is not me,
My soul is an expression of me -
for I am.

I think it fits to me

Probably a book with no title and blank pages. Good blog topic.

From this perspective, a favorite author of mine, Carolyn Myss, describes fourth chakra generosity as a gift of love. She goes on to describe a community (or family's) need to protect their children by teaching them not to love so deeply that everyone can touch their hearts. It is not an act of harm, but an act of protection...so that their children will not take emotional risk with total strangers. A fear of others...to create a protective barrier.

My life...is the refusal to live behind that barrier. I "love too fast, too much, become too empathic..." It is the part of me that I believe most makes my friends nervous...because it opens me up to those who could harm me.

I don't believe that. You survive your injury...and the pain you undergo daily. That is a unique and beautiful strength, Balty.

Or perhaps one who chooses not to live in a stress-filled environment?

How completely appropriate...about laughing last, at any rate. Isn't it intriguing to think about?

Personally, I think you laugh greatest....

I was thinking...Killer Queen....lol...

All of them fit you beautifully. I was thinking that the best thing about me is my mind....A Beautiful Mind? Alternatively, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?

I would need a title that would really capture my 'mouthy-sarcastic-tough-as-a-cat-stuck-in-a-tree-yet-can't-cook-to-save-her-life' ways...
but I have yet to really find a song/book title that really represents me. So.
Here are some that could make do until we find the right one...

"not drunk enough" - Adele
"I like you so much better when you're naked" - Ida Maria
"crazy" - aerosmith
"journal of a narcoleptic" - dan mangan
"hot N' Cold" - Katy Perry
"help I'm alive" - Metric
or my favorite...
"white trash beauitful" - everlast

i`ve been thinking and thinking ..

    "gorillas in the mist"

    sometimes it seems
    like there are things
i don't see,....(mist)unsure, yet you know you have to go forward

    then there are things
    i do see,......(gorilla) strong yet suspicious/timid

i feel i can be on both sides of this title.

    interesting thought
    thanks for this walk
    hugs dear arre
wishing you a fun rest of the week

Well okay then. I have to think about this answer. I understand...and yet I don't. I have to say....a most provocative answer.

uhm...well, I don't even doubt that "crazy", by Aerosmith, would be top suggestions by some certain people in my life!

but the other ones...they're my choices

right now, the winner would be, "help, I'm alive"

and for some certain men, the "I like you so much better when you're naked"...yeah, that would be dedicated for them...I just wanna tell them to shut up and strip down! you're too pretty to be talking, boys.

An excellent title "Sensuous Thoughts of High Philosophy".

Have a good laufffffffff. Alternate title 'Beautiful Tumults'.

Second alternative 'Bride of Varied Fortunes'.

Try any of these and accept if it meets YOUR need of expression. Have a great day, Arre dear.
